TwoSun Tuesday: TS400-C Wong Design in Ti on Ti scales with 3.7" D2 Blade
Published: 1 year ago
I like this guy. Normally I find most upswept blades to not be all that practical, outside of some skinning tasks or self defense. This one’s a bit different though, as the spine of the blade drops from the handle, so that upswept tip is still fairly close to the parallel line the pivot makes. Lets you access the tip much easier than most.
It’s no replacement for a sheepsfoot or wharncliffe if you’s all ‘boust that tip lyfe and the rest of your blade remains pristine, but it’s a fantastic compromise I’m surprised I haven’t seen more of.
It’s a heavy bastard, but really comfortable in the hand, especially the sabre grip.
Specs:
3.7" (94.1 mm) D2 blade with 3.75 mm stock thickness
6.18 oz / 175 gram weight
0.60" (15.2 mm) handle thickness (Ti)
Steel Liner Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
