TwoSun Tuesday: TS379 Mazwan & Metal Munkey Collab in Ti & CF with 3.17" 14C28N Blade
Published: 1 year ago
We have another collab model between Metal Munkey and Mazwan Mokhtar, just like the TS308 “Suiryuu”. I’m not familiar with a particular name it’s called though.
It’s very much a stubby tanto, maybe more useful for a chisel as well as a straight edge. It does have a weird feeling as part of the detent path falls off of the tang of the blade. Just a bit of an observation.
While not bad, I feel this knife might be made a bit more for a specific purpose that I don’t have, rather than strictly EDC tasks like the TS308. I think I whip out my beat to death Spyderco Captain in this video for another example of a blade that can be used as a chisel.
Specs:
3.17" (80.5 mm) 14C28N blade with 3.6 mm stock thickness
4.81 oz / 136.5 gram weight
0.55" (14 mm) handle thickness (Ti & CF)
Bolster Lock
Ceramic bearings & detent ball
