TwoSun Tuesday: TS412 Jelly-Jerry Design in Ti & Micarta with 3.8" D2 Blade

Published: 1 year ago

Here’s this lovely knife. Mine’s marred by some QC checks that I HOPE don’t become more of an issue down the line from TwoSun, but I wanted to catalog them in the review. Pocket clip screw is seized inside the clip and cannot be removed and the internal blade stop pin was loose out of the box.

With that said, I love this design. It’s got a tall blade with a full flat grind. No “snaggletooth” to speak of. Great ergonomics in hammer, reverse hammer & saber grips. Interesting use of paper micarta and extensive milling to accommodate the inlays.

While I’m not enthused by the pocket clip being inset into micarta with a single attachment point, this micarta is fairly dense, and the surface area for the inset is quite large. With my screw seized, I can’t take it fully apart though which is annoying.

Flipper tab works great and stays out of the way when deployed. You also have a blade cutout for thumb rolls and reverse flicking, and there’s great access to the lockbar.
