A selection of SOG/Kiku Matsuda Collaboration knives & something special
Published: 3 years ago
I do not own all of the Kiku Matsuda/SOG collaboration knives but what I do have I love. Often on hikes in the mountains I’ll be wearing the Kiku large fixed blade. I do believe at some point we should try getting the funds together to purchase a blade directly from the maker. I know that this is not always an easy task but I was finally able to secure a Kiku Condor directly fro Seki Japan. Pretty much after pulling it out of its DHL box I sent it out to Redhill Sheaths for a custom drop leg set up with an exotac fire starter. It’s a beautiful representation of Mr. Matsuda’s 40 plus years of experience. Mind you that some of these knives might be discontinued or made of a different steel but all are worth having. Collaboration knives are a great way to own something with the stylings of a internationally renowned maker for an entry level price.
