The Spartan-George V14 dagger was made in tribute to the original V42 fighting knife. Time to learn.

Published: 3 years ago

The V42 fighting knife was developed for the FSSF aka the First Special Service Force in 1942 and was heavily influenced by the British OSS Fairbairn/Sykes stilletto fighting knife. It was carried into battle by the The Black Devil's of the Devil’s Brigade. Not a blade for camp chores but for the dirty night infighting that they became famous for. Today, the V42 is still relevant being shown on the patches and unit crests of current day Special Forces units in bothtthe US, Canada and wherever the Green Berets may be found. I hope you enjoy this tribute video for you not only get to see a tribute knife but can also learn who the original was made for and their vital mission which continues even today. Have a knife day.
