A Pilgrimage to Behring Made to meet the maker and pick out a knife to be made, Behring Made.

Published: 6 months ago

It all started with a knife purchase from the Las Vegas Antique Firearms Show in 2024. While taking in the knives available from various dealers I spied a knife in a display opposite of a Randall knife dealer. Walking around to the other side I spied a fantastic blade with a stag handle. "Is that a Randall Knife?" I asked, No, that's a Behring Made Knife. Behring made? I have never heard of them before, can I hold it? Into my hand it went and in my hand it stayed. I bought that knife and I never looked back. I studied more and the more I did the more impressed I was.
One day I was looking through their website and I happened upon a sambar stag handled, S guard fighter and well I wanted that knife but I wanted it to reflect my style. Sent an email and ended up talking with James Behring himself, went over what I wanted with the knife and a unique sheath design to carry it.
Decided to book a ticket to meet him in person and the rest is history. Great guy, very knowledgeable and I am happy to have had the opportunity to meet him and design a new knife. Links below.
