Sharpening Super Steels-Which Ones Need Diamonds&Why? MagnaCut,MagnaMax,K390

This video was filmed on 10/9. I couldn’t remember if K390 had Niobium. Indeed- it does not. Just the 9% Vanadium. This will be part of a mini series I’ll be documenting in regard to a theory I have on Niobium carbides. I think I have figured out why MagnaMax can tend to be glassy, although its CATRA results are highly impressive on paper. Yet again- it simply does not behave like K390/10V as advertised. I believe it’s due to the Niobium carbides.

*Also aware there was Seki K390 hardness tested recently that came in at 63.7 HRC.
