Carbide Tearout-Is It Real?

JUST USE DIAMONDS! A phrase we’ve all heard. Let’s gently dissect WHY some of the most renowned sharpeners in the states say this. Diamond stones are the most efficient on super steel for a “stable”, long lasting edge. Picking the most suitable stone for not only your carbide type/volume, but matrix as well, is important. This is why some super steels technically do move on traditional stones, but the way they’re moving on a microscopic level may not actually be supportive to the apex.
