*DISCLAIMER!* The reasoning behind picking 3um compound and this particular leather strop- is because this is the most commonly used “one and done” strop set up I have heard people using. In my opinion, I am starting to think a 6-12um strop would be more efficient for a “one and done” strop compound, as it’s more aggressive. This 3um Gunny Juice does not seem to be aggressive enough to refresh a pretty dull edge. This is an ongoing project/observation! 373 BESS is dull for me- but may “still have some life” to the average user. That’s why these tests are important to continue!
