So You Have a Sticky Lock?
Published: 11 years ago
Are you dealing with a sticky, hard to disengage lock on your frame or liner lock knife (especially if the lock is Titanium)? Here are a couple tips and tricks for preventing and dealing with a sticky lock on your folding knife.
1. Make sure the lock face and lock bar face are clean from oil and grease.
2. Apply graphite (pencil lead) to the lock surface to help lubricate.
After you do these two things it's really just up to the surfaces to mate and break in. In no time you will have a silky smooth and easy to disengage lock on your knife.
