Reate K2 Collector - How to Teach an Old Knife New Tricks
Published: 4 years ago
Reate is among the very best knife manufacturers on the planet. In 2017, they introduced the "K series" of knives to demonstrate their in-house design and production capabilities. The K-2 was probably the best of the 4 models, with its traditional kwaiken design and gorgeous blade. However, the handle milling options at that time were less than ideal to me.
This new version from The Knife Joker finally made this knife exciting to me. The Blue Fatcarbon (Lithuanian specialty CF) material is gorgeous in the light, and the zirconium accents really set this knife apart. Yes, its about $100 more than the base model, but it may just be the best Reate ever!
