Ganzo G727M Repair slight defect in wooden scales

The Ganzo G727M with wooden scales arrived with some surface defects on one side. I cannot tell for sure but it looked as though it might have been moisture damage during shipping, but the box looked fine, or it simply was that Quality Control let a knife with some defect pass through the system. This happens with pretty much every mass produced product, especially when the product retails for less than $20USD.
