Mail Day in USA - First impressions of two new knives

Published: 8 years ago

Shipping items to USA is cheaper than to Canada, and more knives are legal in USA, so it is better to get knives in USA. You can view my videos about CBSA confiscating knives for more information on the legal issue. In short, knives that can be opened by a hard flick while not touching any part of the blade and only holding the scales is being treated as an illegal knife in Canada.
That, combined with the fact that I knew I was going through USA a couple of times this summer, was why I had a number of knife orders shipped to a USA address. This video is of me opening a couple of those orders. So, I can accept a knife and then tighten the pivot screw a bit so that it will become legal to import into Canada. Since in real life I don't dramatically flick open my knives when I am in public places anyway means that I almost always leave the knives in that condition anyway after they are in Canada too. Some knives I never EDC and I just have them for my collection and for playing with at home and some of those I do like to flick open and I adjust those to do that easily and freely as possible while still having the knife lock solidly with no blade play.
