Most of the knives I buy every year cost less than $10USD. In fact if we count $15 and less then we have well over 2/3rds of all of the knives of any type that I buy in a given year. I work very hard to find the best value for the dollar. It is supremely easy to find inexpensive knives, but it is not that easy to find GREAT knives at such a low price.
Without exception they are all Made in China, and most have Chinese brand names on their labels but the odd good budget folder has an American brand name, but I have not found one of those under $10 (All prices in USD)
