Hultafors, of Sweden, has been making knives for generations. The Safety Knife is one of their knives that many guys would overlook but it is a knife that I think deserves some attention. The blade is very much a typical scandinavian grind style knife until you get to the tip of the blade. Once there the knife simply ends before a sharp tip could be formed and viola a safer than usual knife has been made.
Hultafors had one of their dealers send this knife and a couple of others to me earlier in 2017. You can check out Big Bear Tools here: http://bigbeartools.com
I have been carrying knives as an EDC item for a very long time and I recognized a long time ago that the tip of the knife is hardly ever used at all. The one major exception is when I am tempted to use the knife as some sort of pry tool - in that case the tip gets used. But that is pretty silly because using a knife as a pry tool is not a good idea at all because you are using the weakest part of the knife to do the hardest type of work. Many knives loose their tips that way.
