If the part that you need to push over to the side (the lock bar) is stuck, you might need to use a hard piece of plastic, or wood, or if desperate use a flat screwdriver, to push it over to the side so that you can begin closing the knife. If it is that hard to close, it means you have a problem called "lock stick" and you can solve that issue in a few ways:
