OK-229 Cut Test: Does This M390 Steel Make the Grade?

Today I'm running the OK-229 (Shaman replica) through my Redneck Cut Tests to see if this M390 steel is all it's cracked up to be. I had pretty high hopes for this one, but the results left me scratching my head a bit.
The knife handled all the cutting just fine - sliced through cardboard, rope, hose, and wood without much trouble. But the edge didn't stay as sharp as I expected from real M390 steel. That said, it's still a darn good work knife, especially for what it costs. If you need a tough blade that can take a beating and don't mind touching up the edge now and then, this one's still worth a look. Check out the full test to see exactly how it did and why I'm still giving it a thumbs up despite the edge retention being a bit of a letdown.
