$52, 14C28N & a Crossbar Lock… What’s the Catch?

Today on BigRedEDC, we’re checking out a brand-new-to-the-channel Amazon knife from REAWAKER! After a viewer suggested the brand, I picked up this red and black crossbar lock folder to see what you’re actually getting for around $52—and whether it can stand out in one of the most competitive areas of the budget knife market.
First impressions are surprisingly solid. The fit and finish look good, blade centering is on point, deployment is snappy, and while the crossbar lock is a little stiff, it feels secure. The straightforward red-and-black design is definitely my style, and that 14C28N blade steel is a welcome choice at this price.
But there’s one area that could make or break this knife for me: ergonomics. The pocket clip lands directly against the pad of my hand, and when I really bear down on the knife, it becomes noticeable. With so many excellent budget EDC knives competing around the $50 price point, little details like that can make a huge difference.
