Light This Firecracker! ???????????? Bear & Son SMKW Exclusive
Published: 1 week ago
Today, we’re checking out an SMKW Exclusive with plenty of patriotic personality—the Bear & Son Star-Spangled Firecracker! ???????????? This USA-made traditional pocket knife combines eye-catching Mica Pearl covers, a polished eagle bolster, and a 440 stainless steel sheepsfoot blade with a feature you don’t see every day: glow-in-the-dark, UV-reactive handles.
We’ll take a close look at the Firecracker’s fit and finish, walk and talk, half stop, long pull, blade grind, ergonomics, size, weight, and overall construction. At approximately 7 inches overall and 2.7 oz, it’s a lightweight traditional that can easily be pocket-dropped, carried in a slip, or paired with a sheath.
At around $55, the Firecracker brings up another interesting question: how much value do you put on a USA-made traditional pocket knife? With 440 steel and relatively straightforward materials, you're likely paying a premium for the American manufacturing—but the SMKW-exclusive design, eagle bolster, patriotic covers, and glow/UV capability certainly give it a personality all its own.
