Did Remette Fix the Cool Whale? 1/2'' Rope Cut Test ROUND TWO!

I’m taking a first look at two new versions of the Remette RT Cool Whale, putting them both through an initial cut test on tough 1/2-inch natural fiber rope—a material that’s absolutely brutal on an edge. The original Cool Whale only made it through about 50%, which honestly isn’t bad since that kind of performance will still handle most everyday cutting tasks with ease. After seeing my video, Remette reached out the same day and sent two more knives for testing, and the results were mixed. Huge respect to Remette for watching, listening, and taking action, and overall these tests show that even when a blade doesn’t cut all the way through, it can still be a perfectly capable EDC tool.
