On the tang there is a stamp with the famous Eye Brand Hammer logo with Carl Schlieper Solingen Germany, and below that Ice Tempered Stainless. Ice Tempered means that the knife is heat-treated after an under-zero (-108 to -112F) to extinguish. It is a more expensive and time-consuming process, but worth the effort. Limited series.
