Death's One Satisfaction -- A Short Film (Part 1 of 2)
Published: 15 years ago
I wrote a script in college, that was used as the subject for a 16mm class project. It concerns a man with a dubious past who encounters the character of Death in a women's restroom. If a rabid Roger Corman fan infatuated with serial killers decided to make a film sorta inspired by The Seventh Seal and Carnival of Souls, this would be it.
This particular version of the film was edited by myself and classmate Jared Traum. When I wrote the script I envisioned it as an absurd dark comedy, although the actors here play it off as a serious drama. The acting's wooden, the script's kinda corny, and while it could be just my imagination, I think these elements give it a weird charm . This is B-Movie (or Z-Movie) fare all the way, but it's brief, so I hope a few connoisseurs of schlock cinema dig it.
Unfortunately the only copy I had was a VHS master, so that's why it looks fuzzy.
The total length is only 11 minutes, but I had to split it into 2 parts per youtube's rules. This is part 1 of 2.
