Does a knife need Gears? Hawk Knives and Mantis Gearhead Review

Published: 2 years ago

The makers of the Hawk Deadlock and the MUDD have teamed up with Mantis to make a knife with a unique gear driven mechanism called the Gearhead. This unique design recalls Grant amd Gavin's earlier knife-making days when the deployment mechanism was the center piece of the knife. In this review we discuss the state of Hawk Collecting, and the astronomical prices- and compare the Mantis Gearhead to the mainline Hawks, and pine for the long unproduced Orbit, a collaboration with Serge knives. In this video you'll see the Model C and B and the Cold Steel AD-15, which is also hard to get as of late. I also even say Buck Marksman in the video, so that's fun.
