The Katsu Habu series, designed by American Michael Emler and produced by the Japanese brand Katsu. The name "Habu" comes from a venomous snake in southern Japan, symbolizing its wild, agile nature and adaptability.

Key Characteristics
Design: The knife blends American utilitarian design, tailored for Western users' hand sizes, with traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

Blade: It typically features a blade made of high-end CPM-S90V powder steel, known for exceptional wear resistance and long-lasting sharpness. A key feature is the full convex grind (from bevel to edge) that enhances cutting efficiency and durability for outdoor tasks.

Handle: The handle is generally made from a combination of titanium alloy and various carbon fiber inlays (available in colors like white, yellow, blue, and red).

Locking Mechanism: It utilizes a secure bolster lock and a back flipper opener for smooth action.

Use Case: Described as a reliable companion for outdoor adventures, camping, and daily cutting tasks, it performs well even under heavy-duty use.

Available Models
The Katsu Habu comes in a few variations, primarily the Habu 01 and the updated Habu 02.

Katsu Habu 01: The initial model, featuring a satin finish blade and bead blasted titanium with dual carbon fiber inlays.

Katsu Habu 02: An upgraded version with a black coated and stonewashed finish on the blade and handle for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance.
