The Elixir knife was designed by a firefighter to be a tough, reliable tool for demanding tasks, prioritizing durability and function. It was produced in collaboration with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Reate Knives.
Blade Material: Crafted from MagnaCut steel, a popular super steel known for its strength and edge retention.
Blade Design: Features a complex compound grind with a shallow hollow grind on the lower two-thirds for slicing and a flat grind toward the tip for strength in tough piercing tasks. It also has an oversized thumb hole and jimping on the spine for grip and easy deployment (though a reverse flick is often preferred over the thumb roll).
Handle & Lock: The handles and hardware are made from Grade 5 titanium, utilizing an integrated frame lock mechanism for reliable security. It also includes a milled titanium pocket clip with internal mounting for a low profile.
Dimensions: The overall length of the knife is 7.44 inches (188.92 mm), and it weighs approximately 4.3 ounces.
