"The Pelican is our first collaboration with new designer Aslan Zhanabayev. Aslan is an eccentric designer with a portfolio of extremely contemporary designs. The Pelican is an frame lock EDC flipper with a design that is extremely in keeping with its name sake. The Pelicans D2 drop point blade takes the form of the beak of a Pelican with highly arched spine and swooping belly. A small portion of the spine has been milled out to give greater purchase on the knife without the needing of jimping. Flipper tab acts as perfect stop point on the forefinger to ensure complete safety when really bearing down on the knife. The cutout on the spine of the blade also act as a fantastic counterpoint for the thumb also.
The G10 side of the handle have been precision milled to form the wings of the Pelicans body, while also granting the user with further purchase on the knife when coupled with the stainless steel lock-bar side. Both the G10 and lock bar sides have been chamfered all the way around to decrease any chance of coming up against hot spots when using the knife. Further additions to the knife are the retro fitted pocket clip that acts as a very cool stylistic comparison to the otherwise straight lines. Following from this the lanyard hold is very unconventional being designed into the spine of the handle and being rectangular in shape, but also being large enough to fit a multitude of lanyard attachments ."
