A custom knife called the Kitchen Flipper, one of two. A collector's item from 2011!
This knife is a complete custom by renowned knife designer Dmitry Sinkevich (SiDiS). Only two of these knives were produced (each a ONE-OFF knife, with a different handle material). The number 1 is marked on the spacer on this knife.
Dmitry Sinkevich describes his knife this way: "Fighting with food is more than a natural activity for me, so kitchen knives (especially folding ones) have always sparked a keen interest.
The RWL-34 blades are hardened to primary hardness for increased corrosion resistance. The handle length is 115 mm, the edge length is 120 mm, the spine is 3.5 mm, and the blade is beveled to 0.2 mm. The blades are tumbled.
The blades are made of BT-23 titanium, 2.4 mm thick. Linerlock. The red and blue carbon scales are textured for improved grip. The carbon spacer has luminescent "dots." Titanium bolts and a clip. The clip allows the knife to be inserted deep enough and The knife attracts minimal attention—just a wide line. I replaced the traditional ball with a solid pin—the flip is different and feels stronger (although I spent several days figuring things out and adjusting the trigger).
The kitchen knives are heavy, roomy, and comfortable. When working on a flat surface, your fingers don't get in the way, and the entire handle is fully engaged.
A beautifully crafted knife, with the highest level of ergonomics and a wonderful flip.
