In this video, we take a closer look at five stunning handcrafted hunting knives featuring forged Feather Pattern Damascus, rare handle materials like Mastodon Ivory and Amber Stag, and Dan Lewis’ signature “CU Mai” construction. The five-layer “CU Mai” blade has a W-2 Carbon Steel core, a layer of Copper on either side of the core & the two outside layers are Damascus. The Damascus is comprised of 1095 Carbon Steel & 15N25 Nickel. Dan calls his steel “CU Mai” because CU is the mineral abbreviation for Copper and the sandwiched construction is similar to San Mai.
