Kershaw Deadline 1087 Knife "Walk-Around" - Knives Plus Media

Published: 7 years ago

The Kershaw Deadline Knife, designed by Matt Diskin, pairs the tried and true KVT ball bearing opening system with the TDS (Tuned Detent System). "TDS puts the detent ball on the front scale of the knife in an inset steel plate. This plate enables us to "fine tune" the detent so that it's perfect - not too heavy, not too light. With TDS, opening a manual flipper knife like this is as easy as opening any other flipper." The Deadline features a 3.8" modified Wharncliffe blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a two tone gray PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) and satin finish, a weight reducing top swedge, a notched thumb ramp for secure grip, and a flipper for ambidextrous one hand opening. The slim profile steel handle, 4.25" closed, has a two tone gray PVD and satin finish, milled decorative detailing, finger grooves and notches for secure purchase, a frame lock and a side to side reversible pocket clip mounted at the butt end. The Kershaw Deadline Knife has an overall open length of 7.6", and it weighs 4.3 ounces.
