The Spyderco Karahawk Knife, designed by Sal Glesser, that features a 2.35" hawkbill blade made of VG10 stainless steel, .098" thick. The blade of this Spyderco knife has a non reflective black TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coat, the Spyderco hole and Emerson Opener for ambidextrous one hand opening, and for open on withdrawal. The black G10 handle, 4.50" closed, has black skeletonized stainless steel liners, a lockback and a finger ring. A side to side reversible steel pocket clip is mounted at the butt end of this Spyderco Knife. The Spyderco Karahawk Knife has an overall open length of 6.50", and it weighs 3.8 ounces. Made in Japan.
From the Spyderco website: The new all-black Karahawk is a modern folding version of the traditional Southeast Asian Karambit. Its hawkbill blade is VG-10 stainless steel and features a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating. It includes both a Trademark Round Hole and an Emerson Opening Feature for swift, blade function and is paired with a high strength back lock mechanism. The Karahawk's handle is constructed with textured G-10 scales and full skeletonized stainless steel liners that are also TiCN coated. The signature ring is reinforced with a G-10 insert and allows traditional Karambit manipulation techniques. A reversible hourglass clip provides ambidextrous tip-up carry and, like all the knife's other hardware, features a matching low-profile black coating.
