This week we’re spotlighting the Tenacious line of folders from Spyderco. See more about the Spyderco Tenacious: http://bit.ly/3a5w8eJ
The Tenacious, along with the Resilience and others, are part of the Spyderco collection of Value Folders, that bear the name of admirable human characteristics. The Tenacious has lived up to its name and proven to be one of Spyderco’s most popular folders, and we’ve just gotten in a couple of cool color variations.
Blade is deployed of course via the trademark Spyderco round hole, and deployment is smooth and easy. The blade is just a bit under 3.5" long, and the leaf shape makes for a long cutting edge. That combined with the full flat grind means nice cutting performance from this knife. You can get the blade with either the tactical black finish you see here or a satin finish. The blade is locked in place by the Walker liner lock.
The handle on these new variants is a brown G10, but the Tenacious is also available with a black or green handle. The G10 is textured for a sure grip, and milled specifically with prolonged use in mind. Under the G10 is a skeletonized steel liner, making this both durable and lightweight. Some robust jimping on the thumb ramp gives you that sense of control. This is overall a really comfortable hold, the only detractor for me personally being a minor hotspot where the pocketclip rests against my index finger.
Fortunately, the Tenacious has a four-way pocketclip, so you can put that sucker anywhere you want. It’s a pretty smooth clip that rides comfortably and holds securely.
Overall, the Spyderco Tenacious is a solid, affordable folder, and a really nice option for a basic EDC. You can click the annotation or the link in the description to learn more about this knife, and don’t forget to check back every week for an all new Spotlight Series. Thank you from the KnifeCenter- Serving the web community since 1995.
