Justin Gingrich is well-respected in the tactical community, drawing from his experience as a US Army Ranger to create knives that are overbuilt, brutal, and well suited for hard use.

One of his latest innovations is the Delta Lock Folder. As the name would suggest the star feature on this knife is the locking mechanism. It isn’t often that a new lock is introduced that represents a clear improvement over existing designs, but that is definitely the case here.

The Delta Lock consists of a V-shaped block that interfaces with four different surfaces on the tang, using opposing force to help prevent movement forward or backward. This creates one of the strongest setups we have seen that is as easy to use as any normal liner lock. As a bonus, the point of the tang that rests in the bottom of the V doubles as a glassbreaker when the blade is closed.

The BD1 drop point blade features a slight hollow grind and is beefy enough to handle a ton of abuse. The opening action feels incredibly smooth whether you prefer the flipper or the thumb studs for deployment.

Rounding out the rugged package are milled titanium handles with a diamond checkered pattern that fill the hand nicely. It looks great and creates the perfect grip for the heavy-duty work this knife will endure.

Overall, we are incredibly impressed with the performance and style the GTI Delta Lock Folder has to offer
