The push button design shoots the blade out the front of the knife and holds it firmly in place. Pull back on that button and the blade easily retracts into the handle again. The stainless steel, flat grind dagger blade has a black powder coating that's embossed with the AKC logo and the words "Made in Italy" as well. The handle is made of a sturdy but lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum that also has a black coating. It also has a very impressive looking insert that looks just like grey and brown snake skin.
