ESEE 3HM and 4HM Handle Modified Fixed Blade Knife Overview Media

The New ESEE Knives HM (Handle Modification) knives are a riff on the original ESEE 3 & 4 knives with some design changes giving the knives the look and feel of a more traditional Bushcraft and survival knife. The same great materials are used: 1095 High Carbon Tool Steel for the blade with black traction coating for enhanced corrosion resistance and Canvas Micarta for the handle scales, super tough and grippy when wet.
Most of the specifications are the same but here are the major changes: First, the handles are about 50% larger and are slightly more contoured for a more hand-filling grip. The jimping on the spine has been removed for less abrasion when using thumb leverage on the spine. The choil and guard have been removed giving you an open handle for more grip options and nothing but cutting edge on the blade. The scales now run all the way to the end of the tang, eliminating the breaker but still leaving an open area for the lanyard. The sheath has also been changed from the more tactical molded plastic to a more traditional deep leather pouch sheath with a belt loop.
