The Microtech UTX-85 Gen IV Jedi Master might honestly be one of the most sought after production knives Microtech has ever released. Mainly because they didnt overproduce them in the past, they were very limited.
This thing looks like it came straight out of the Star Wars universe with the green dagger blade, bronze hardware, and lightsaber-inspired chassis design. But the biggest surprise? The NEW Gen IV action.
Microtech completely refined the platform with a smoother deployment system, upgraded internals, improved ergonomics, and better reliability overall. The action feels noticeably easier and snappier than older UTX-85 models while still delivering that signature Microtech “kick.” ()
The size is what makes this knife such a killer EDC option. At roughly 85% the size of the Ultratech, it carries easier in the pocket while still giving you a full 3.1” M390MK blade and excellent grip security. ()
What I really love about this model is that it balances collector appeal with actual usability. A lot of Star Wars themed knives feel gimmicky… this one doesn’t. It still feels like a serious Microtech.
