Nature Designed This Pocket Knife Media

Our Polycomb Collection started with one of nature’s most recognizable patterns: Honeycomb.

We took that geometry and translated it directly into the handles of our newest blades: precision-machining a deep hexagonal texture into blacked-out titanium.

But instead of telling that story from a studio, we wanted to go deep into where the inspiration actually came from.

That's why we headed into the Swedish countryside to spend the day with Kalle, a full time beekeeper. Throughout our hours together, we got open hives, pull frames, and work through smoke, wax, honey and a lot of bees. We got to see firsthand how a colony works, how the comb is built, and why this simple repeating structure has existed in nature for a long long time.

The result is the Polycomb Allman and Polycomb Microblade: two WESN designs reworked around a pattern that nature perfected long before we ever put it on a knife
