The Wind Runner XL Snake River Edition is a re-worked version of a classic TOPS hunting knife. This new version sports our famous Black River Wash with green canvas Micarta handles to provide grip even when they're wet. This is the larger of the two Wind Runners and it is a great all-around hunting knife. Every detail about the blade was included to make processing animals easy. The subdued tip allows the user to skin without worrying about puncturing a hide. The recurve and sweeping belly are ideal slashing tasks for gutting, skinning, and caping. The high grind on the thick stock make it strong, but with a very sharp edge. The handle is comfortable in standard hunting grips and the green canvas Micarta will help the user keep that grip even when it's wet (a must when processing game). The Kydex sheath provides excellent retention and a low-profile carry option.

The recurved blade is excellent for slashing cuts, and the sweeping belly up to the subdued tip all make skinning small game a breeze. This small size is suited to handle processing fish, fowl, and smaller game animals in a lightweight package that is comfortable to use.
