Silent Hero 4 Media

Anton du Plessis designed the first Silent Hero for specialized units fighting rhino poachers in Africa. It was a large, heavy-duty tool built for tough work. Eventually, he wanted something lighter and easier to carry on his hip. This led to the Silent Hero 4. We kept the same blade shape and handle style but scaled everything down. The new blade measures 4 inches (101.6 mm) long with a thickness of 1/8 inch (3.175 mm), compared to the original 3/16 inch (4.76 mm). Instead of leather, this model uses a Kydex sheath. You still get enough length for most cutting tasks without the extra bulk. This knife works well as a daily carry or a smaller companion to your full-size knife.
