This is the 18 inch Schrade Outback Machete SCMACH18.
The Outback Machete is housed in a military style, polymer sheath, designed with a pull sharpener on the side, that helps keep the edge sharp while in the field. On the back, a pivoting steel loop allows for multiple carry options.
Held safe and firm in the sheath through a precision friction design, the Outback Machete is donned and ready for action by firmly gripping the handle and pulling up and out.
WIth an overall length of 18 inches, this machete is designed to thrive in any weather condition due to it's sharp, 12.5 inch, stainless steel blade. For additional corrosion protection the blade is coated in a durable, non-reflective, black finish.
For added power, the blade widens (from handle to tip) to form a large belly that aids in chopping and clearing brush.
The rugged full tang blade is fused to a tough, polymer handle, designed to stand up to hard use. A thick D shaped guard protects your fingers and keeps the machete in your hand.
A generous hole at the base of the handle, runs through the tang and allows you to lash the machete to gear or attach a lanyard for added security.
