5.9" Tactical Survival Pen -- NEW from: http://schrade.com
Designed to hold up under adverse conditions, the SCPEN4O, manufactured from CNC machined 6061T6 aluminum, can be used to write, whistle for help, start a fire, and for self-defense in emergency situations.
To write with the pen, unscrew the whistle cap. If desired, screw the cap back on the opposite end.
Blow through the cap to signal for help. The whistle works best when the cap is removed.
To start a fire, unscrew the striker plate from the end cap by turning clockwise. Then unscrew the end cap from the body of the pen to expose the ferro rod. Screw the striker plate back into the end cap. Hold the striker plate in one hand and exposed ferro rod in the other. Using modest pressure, quickly slide the striker plate down the ferro rod, away from your body.
In an emergency, the aircraft quality aluminum shell's glass breaking tip transforms the SCPEN4O into an instrument of self-defense.
A spring tension clip secures the pen to your pocket... or clip the SCPEN4O to pack or gear. Its bright orange color makes it easy to spot when you need it.
At a length of 5.9 inches and weight of 1.7 ounces, the SCPENBK is a rugged, versatile pen you can depend on in tactical and survival situations.
