How to Reset an OTF Knife: Lucent Automatic (Large and Mini) Media

Automatic knives are built with safety mechanisms that prevent accidental deployment. If the blade disengages or does not deploy fully, the knife is not broken. This is an intentional failure designed to avoid unintended openings during carry or storage. In this video, we show how to reset both sizes of the Lucent Automatic.
HOW TO RESET
1. Push and hold the slider button in the forward (open) position.
2. Large Lucent: While keeping pressure on the slider, flick the knife downward with a quick motion.
3. Mini Lucent: While keeping pressure on the slider, pinch, hold, and pull outward on the blade until it reengages. Grip the blade from the top, never along the bottom edge.
This re-engages the internal spring and resets the blade mechanism.
SAFETY
Keep your fingers clear of the blade's path when deploying or resetting. Wear gloves and avoid contact with the blade during the reset. Make sure the blade is fully retracted before stowing the knife.
