A quick video of assembling one of our Sitka santoku knives. We CNC machine our blades and handles to very close tolerances. That means they fit together very accurately without grinding the handle and tang together. To assemble we take a finished blade and insert female threaded "standoffs" or spacers into the holes in the tang. Then we push the handle scales on from each side. The standoffs align the tang with the scales. Finally we screw the handle scales on with six flat head screws. The nature of our knife construction makes them very serviceable and repairable, even by the end user themselves. That is a good thing for us, the user and the planet as well :)
