Morakniv Basic 546 Limited Edition 2023 (S) Media
Published: 1 year ago
This year’s limited edition colour draws inspiration from the shimmering yellow Zorngården located in the heart of Mora, as well as our beautiful Dala Red colour, which for decades has given character to the knives from Morakniv.
Zorngården was once the home of the artist Anders Zorn and his wife Emma Zorn in Mora. The building was designed by the artist himself and was completed in the early 20th century.
From Zorn’s artist home to the well-known red colour, the step is no further than a brush stroke on a palette.
The colour that is so strongly associated with Mora, Dalarna, and Sweden has had a special role in knife history since 1912. Namely, it was then that the knives manufactured in Mora got their handles painted with the characteristic red colour.
The ergonomic barrel-shaped polymer handle features a sturdy finger guard and a 2.0 mm thick blade made of recycled Swedish stainless steel, which provides both strength and stability in every cut. Thanks to the blade and handle design, this knife is ideal for working safely and efficiently in differing weather conditions all year round.
The polymer sheath is equipped with the Morakniv Smart Button System, which means you can attach several craft knives for different purposes to each other. It also has a practical belt clip for easy attachment to your belt.
Morakniv Basic 511 & 546 Limited Edition 2023 will only be manufactured in 2023.
