How to Sharpen Your Chef’s Knife to Perfection - Morakniv x Tormek Media

Published: 3 months ago

Did you know you’ll get the best results when sharpening your Morakniv Classic 1891 Chef’s Knife at an 18-degree angle? It’s the perfect balance between razor-sharp edges and long-lasting durability.

Shop the Tormek T-1 Morakniv 1891 and the Chef's Knife at: https://morakniv.se/produkt/tormek-t-1-kockkniv/

And don’t forget to sharpen both sides of the blade, so you can keep your knife in peak condition and continue to slice like a pro!

After sharpening your Chef’s Knife, it’s time to hone the blade. We recommend using the integrated honing wheel to remove any burr from the bevel. Just make sure the wheel is turning away from you, and you’ll be good to go!

Burr is the micro residue left from sharpening, kind of like a thin beard on the knife's bevel. The easiest way to check if it’s gone is to gently run the blade along your nail - but be careful, your knife is now super sharp!

The Tormek T-1 Classic 1891 is available now at morakniv.com. Stay sharp! The sharpener is functional in the EU only. Check out https://shop.tormek.com/products/tormek-t-1-morakniv-1891 for sharpeners outside of the EU.
