The story begins with a few casual phone conversations, a shared vision, and years of thoughtful design resulting in the ultimate goal of one day making MKC's first folding knife. When Josh Smith first met Jacob Good there was no full-scale shop or team of skilled engineers working behind him. Just two guys talking about knives and a vision they both believed in.
Living in a remote region of southern Idaho, Jacob Good is one-of-a-kind engineer and has been an instrumental part of the creating the Montana. Jacob is the lead engineer and designer of the Montana folding knife. From initial drawings to full scale production, Jacob had a vision in mind of what he wanted to create and the Montana was that knife.
