THE MKC STONEWALL "SHORT" Media

When we designed the Stonewall skinner my goal was to create a knife that could do any possible task in the field that a hunter may encounter.  After designing a couple of knives that were intended for the hunters counting ounces we wanted to create a blade that could do it all.

The Stonewall has a larger belly in the blade making it perfect for skinning out animals or cutting meat.  The added length of this blade makes it possible to baton it through wood if needed.  The blade is stout enough to put up to nearly any abuse you can put it through.  At .135 thick at the spine, this 52100 blade is stronger than any task will be.  At just .015 thick at the edge, this knife will still cut like a laser but still has enough steel behind the edge to chop wood for hunting camp. The G-10 handle scales are equally as tough as the blade.  G-10 is notorious for being strong, durable, and stable.  No natural handle material can compare to its toughness.

Each Montana Knife Company™ Stonewall Blackfoot Skinner comes with a Kydex sheath with a quick attach belt look. This belt loop can be put on your belt without removing or unclasping the belt. The knife can also be carried horizontally or vertically by simply removing two screws, adjusting the clip, and reapplying the screws.

The Montana Knife Company™ Stonewall Blackfoot Skinner got its name from the region that our founder Master Bladesmith Josh Smith grew up in.  The Stonewall Mountain and Blackfoot river valley in Lincoln Montana are on the edge of the Bob Marshall and Scapegoat wilderness. Josh grew up hunting and fishing in this area and felt it was fitting to name this blade after this incredible place.
