Medford Trench Knife: Doughboy Edition Media
Published: 4 days ago
It's mid July 2026 and a 3x5ft sheet of brass arrives at the MKT "Shactory" in Phoenix, Arizona where Greg Medford and the knifemaking team have a clear mission: Create a version of our .260" thick Cro Van steel Knuckle Knife fit for 1918.

Medford Knife Model: 2024 Trench Knife
Steel Type: 1095 Cro Van
Handles: Doughboy engraved Brass
Qty Pieces: 20
For those familiar with the weight of Medford knives & fixed blades in general, I put this on the scale for a record 1.65 lbs. For reference, the TBF Breakdown Fighter comes in at 1.55 lbs despite it being about 3 inches longer.
Greg designed this version of his WW2 trench knife back in 2024 - and called it the 2024 - a signature year for the return of the trench knife in the lineup.
You will notice it is not in the Medford lineup as an "active model"
This model is reserved for special projects, spontaneous designs, and collaborations that ship immediately rather than our typical 6-9 month production time for a custom knife.
This project, the 1918 version in brass, will be available on Thursday 7-30-2026 at the link directly on our website.
