The theme of Marttiini’s 2026 Annual Knife draws its inspiration from Finland, also known as “The Land of a Thousand Lakes.”
The name Järvi – meaning “lake” in Finnish – captures Finland’s deep connection with its waters. The knife’s design reflects the tranquillity of the country’s countless lakes, the shimmer of clear waters, and the long-standing traditions of fishing. Imagine yourself in the gentle warmth of a lakeside sauna, watching the evening sun sink behind the islands as boats glide silently across the calm water.
