How to flip a Hoback Media
Published: 12 years ago
So after going to Blade 2012 and seeing all the guys come by my table and act like they are afraid to break my folders (Haha) when they go to flip them. I thought I would give a tutorial on how to flip a Hoback.
I may be just so used to using my folders that I dont see a problem, so if you have questions comment and let me know. Im always searching for improvement. I have gone back and forth with stronger detents and all that. But I still settle on a fairly light detent so its not too hard to open with your thumb if you want to.
The design of my A series folders has a flipper that moves 162 deg. Which is just behind the pivot. More than enough to flip it out. I would like to push the flipper farther forward when closed, so you would have more arc before you hit the frame with your finger but the design will not allow that. due to the finger choil.
