Knifemaking Tuesdays Week 06 - milling machine adjustments Media

Week 06 was pretty slow for me, didn't have a lot of time to devote to a big project and my first prototype knife was "finished" enough, so I decided to tackle a little project that's been bugging me for years. I trammed my milling machine, meaning I made sure that the up and down Z axis was perfectly perpendicular to the side to side X axis and the in and out Y axis. Took a few hours to get it dialed in, but now the endmill is actually flat on the bottom and not tilted to one side.

Next week I'll spend some serious time working on knives.
